Privacy Policy for the Findependent Mobile Application

1. General Provisions

This Privacy Policy describes how Findependent Association (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the Findependent mobile application (“the App”).

We value your privacy and process data in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Bulgarian Personal Data Protection Act, and applicable international standards.

3. Data We Collect

The App does not require registration and does not collect data such as your name, email address, or phone number. Users remain anonymous.

We only collect:

  • Device Identifier (Device ID) – for internal anonymous identification and sending push notifications.
  • Device system information – model, operating system, version, etc., via Firebase Crashlytics, to improve stability.
  • Survey responses – aggregated information about financial habits, without the ability to link to an identifiable person.

4. Legal Basis

as the following:

  • Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR – consent (for push notifications);
  • Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR – legitimate interest (to improve the App and analyze usage).

5. How We Use the Data

  • To send push notifications (events, reminders, news);
  • To detect and fix technical issues;
  • For statistical and analytical purposes.

6. Cookies and External Content

The App does not use cookies.
It contains embedded browsers to access external websites (Findependent, Paysera). These websites may use cookies in accordance with their own policies, which we cannot control.

7. Data Storage and Deletion

Data is stored locally on the device and is automatically deleted upon uninstalling the App. We do not maintain a central database.

Due to the lack of user identification, individual deletion during usage is technically impossible.

8. User Rights

You have the right to:

  • obtain information about the data we process;
  • withdraw consent for push notifications;
  • lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority – CPDP (Bulgaria).

9. Data Security

We apply technical and organizational measures to protect data from loss, unauthorized access, or misuse.

10. Data Transfer

Data may be processed on servers outside your country, but only in countries with an adequate level of protection under GDPR.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy at any time. Changes take effect upon being published in the App.
